Outdoor Femtocell: Metro and Rural
Ubiquisys outdoor femtocells share the same adaptive and SON capabilities, which means they automatically co-operate with the macro network and can be rapidly deployed. They are specifically designed for outdoor use in metro, rural and suburban environments.
Each femtocell has a capacity of 16-64 simultaneous calls and a power output up to 30dBm. Internet backhaul is provided by DSL, cable or fibre.
In metro environments, they provide massive additional data capacity with no extra load on macro backhaul. They also provide targeted coverage infill in rural and suburban areas.
