Ubiquisys’ CEO Chris Gilbert’s will be presenting on ‘The Rise of Intelligent Small Cells’ as part of the ‘The Economics of Broadband and Net neutrality 2.0’ session on Wednesday, October 27th. The presentation will cover:

  • What intelligent small cells are and how they work together to create a new generation of ad-hoc cellular network:  the ‘super-grid”
  • How intelligent cells will drive a new generation of location-aware apps.

Presentations will also be given by Bernd Schlotter, Partner at consultancy firm Bain; Martin Harriman, EVP Ecosystem Development, LightSquared and Ali Shah, Director Broadband Strategy, Ericsson. The session will discuss how the 4G networks under construction will complement existing fixed and cable networks as well as what business models will enable the ‘digital economy’ to thrive.
