In 2009 analysts ABI Research ranked Ubiquisys number one femtocell vendor for both product innovation and implementation. We are the founders of the Femto Forum and a World Economic Forum 2009 Technology Pioneer.
Ubiquisys is the femtocell specialist. It is our core business and we have created a large body of intellectual property. We don't make network infrastructure and we don't run systems integration projects. Instead we partner with the best. Our product, manufacturing and solution ecosystem includes Kineto, Motorola, NEC, Nokia Siemens Networks, NETGEAR, Percello, picoChip, Sony and Tatara.
Ubiquisys is a company of firsts.
With our innovative ZoneGate technology, we produced the world's first commercial grade femtocell in 2006.
In 2007 we created the Femto Forum to promote standards and partnerships in this fast-emerging industry.
In September 2008 the company announced that Softbank would be the world's first operator to offer 3G femtocell services using the ZoneGate.
In 2009 Ubiquisys demonstrated the first femtocell grid system for businesses of all sizes, where a team of femtos self-organise to form a grid of 3G coverage and capacity.
The Ubiquisys ZoneGate is the only femtocell that constantly scans its radio environment and adapts its configuration in real-time according to operator policies. This eliminates interference problems with the macro network or between neighbouring femtocells. The result is a robust plug and play user experience, even in large scale dense deployments.
Ubiquisys has a proven track record of providing an encapsulated femtocell module that consumer electronics manufacturers can integrate for themselves. Products include NETGEAR's DVG834GH and SerComm's FC210U.
Ubiquisys also offers the best performance of any femtocell and yet combines this with the lowest energy consumption and the smallest form factor.
