Ubiquisys wins Infovision award for ZoneGate femtocell
Paris - Ubiquisys, the leading developer of 3G femtocells, has received a highly coveted International Engineering Consortium (IEC) InfoVision Award, it was announced yesterday at Broadband World Forum in Paris.
Ubiquisys was commended in the Access Network Technologies and Services category, for the company's Ubiquisys ZoneGate femtocell. The award highlights its position as an innovator of the highest calibre and industry pioneer.
The International Engineering Consortium (IEC) InfoVision Award programme celebrates some of the industry's most notable broadband products, services and applications with success going to those judged to be the most unique and beneficial to the ICT industry.
Earlier this year SoftBank in Japan announced the world's first commercial 3G femtocell deployment using the Ubiquisys ZoneGate. The company has pioneered the industry since it was founded in 2004, securing partnerships with the leading OEMs in the sector such as NEC, Nokia Siemens Networks, and NETGEAR.
The company's real-time cognitive radio was central in solving the issue of interference seen by many as a potential stumbling block to widespread femtocell deployments. | top |
