Ubiquisys Ranked No1 Femtocell Vendor in Independent Survey
Company Wins Top Vendor Ranking from ABI Research, Teams with NETGEAR and Founds the Femto Forum
SWINDON, England – 3rd July 2007 – Ubiquisys Ltd, the leading developer of intelligent femto access points for the residential market, has been named number one femtocell vendor in an independent study by ABI Research. Ubiquisys has recently gained significant traction in the sector with major announcements that include a deal to provide the 3G femtocell technology for NETGEAR’s forthcoming home gateway, which will also incorporate Wi-Fi and a DSL modem.
Ubiquisys has also founded the Femto Forum to support and promote the uptake of femtocell technologies worldwide. It is an independent, not-for-profit membership organisation whose membership includes many leading operators and vendors.

The Ubiquisys ZoneGate femtocell is a plug-and-play 3G access point that uses a mobile subscriber’s xDSL connection to transport voice and data calls to the core network using a range of standards-based interfaces.
