Appointment of Major Figure in International Telecommunications and IT Industries Signals New Phase in Company’s Development
SWINDON, England – 11 March 2008 – Ubiquisys Ltd, the leading developer of 3G femtocells, today announced that it has appointed Patrick Gallagher as Chairman of the board. Gallagher brings 25 years of industry leadership from across the telecommunications and IT industries. This experience will be invaluable as femtocells drive converged offerings combining mobile, wireline broadband and web applications.
Femtocells are small consumer devices the size of a paperback book that connect to the home broadband connection. Mobile users benefit from excellent, high-speed 3G coverage using their existing handset, as well as low-cost voice/data and a platform for exciting new services in the home.

He is Chairman and Member of the Board of Macro4 Plc a FTSE listed global software solutions provider and is also on the Board of Harmonic Inc.(NASDAQ: HLIT) a Global provider of high performance video solutions to the Broadcast/Cable/Satellite/Telecoms/Service Provider industries.
He held senior management positions during a 17 year tenure at British Telecom, including as Group Director of Strategy & Development, President of BT Europe and a member of the BT Executive Committee. He also served as Co/Vice Chairman and CEO at FLAG Telecom, a leading provider of international network transport and data services to telecom operators, content providers and Internet communities worldwide.
Before joining BT, Patrick spent eight years with Racal Electronics, managing international communications projects in Europe, the Middle East and South America. He is a graduate of Warwick University with a degree in Economics and Industry.
